Fanjasoa Louisette RASOLONIAINA, affiliated with the laboratories ECHELLES at Université Paris Cité and EVCAU at ENSA Paris Val-de-Seine, both located on the campus Des Moulins. Her main research focus is architecture as a counterpart to language, within the perspective of systemic design, digital culture, and projective ecologies.
Adopting Haraway’s model of tentacular, symbiogenetic, and “SF” thinking as a constructivist method, the thesis relies on perceptual, cognitive, linguistic, and ontological phenomenology to redefine social representations, dissolve the discursive regimes of the globalized world, as well as the remnants of colonization and anthropocentrism. It opens a practice of research, work, and social inclusion that is transdisciplinary, integrating artificial intelligence (AI). In this regard, the thesis proposes to reset the role of science and align architectural practice with the needs of our contemporary context.
This conceptual framework reinserts the act of architecture within the lineage of intellectual technologies serving a therapeutic approach to territorial, urban, landscape, architectural, spatial, and/or dispositive organization. It aligns with the principle of infravie (Thomas Heams, 2019): the biological continuity between the natural and the artificial, a framework that invites the development of biological infrastructures. This paradigm shift establishes connections to create possible linkages between thoughts previously experienced in opposition: economy and ecology, local and global, “ars e natura,” “pleroma e creatura,” etc.
From this harmonized and unified substrate, the thesis lays the epistemological foundations of a methodology called Profiling Ecosystemic and Geographic Systems (PEGs), where the different layers of data analysis become layers of potential for profiling and growth of the symbiotic megaregion, involving the transcalaire allometric scalability of human constructions inscribed in a fractal dimension. In this perspective, the circular economy is redefined as an ecosystemic economy based on the (re)newal of ecological intelligence and genuine territorial symbiosis.
