Drawing on research conducted over the past ten years on the Figuig oasis, this work attempts to define tangible, intangible, and landscape heritage in order to account for the complexity of the heritage and memories of the oasis system. Through an inventory of monuments and a classification of archives, it deciphers the palm grove and the social practices surrounding water, meals, and funeral rites, and aims to contribute to Figuig's inscription on the World Heritage List.
