Green Book

The publication of the Green Paper on teaching and research on the ecological transition in schools of architecture and landscape architecture is a committed act. This book summarizes the Lyon Appeal (2017), the "20 transformative measures" of Nancy (2018), and was published during the Montpellier meetings (2019) focused on climate change. The first three meetings of the network, in Lyon, Nancy, and Montpellier, enabled us to unite the members of our teaching and student community through shared production and decision-making. We want to put the ecological transition into action through a set of "transformative measures" in teaching and research in schools of architecture and landscape architecture. This Green Paper is therefore logically presented alongside these "20 transformative measures." It identifies diverse educational activities related to ecology in the National Schools of Architecture (ENSA). It details virtuous, emerging, and demonstrative practices—those already being implemented in the ENSA. This Green Book happily brings together numerous texts, which thus become valuable resources for our Schools of Architecture (ENSA) in transition. It concludes provisionally with a dozen commitments at the end, reflecting the urgency of the situation and the diversity of perspectives and responses. This Green Book is intended to evolve, being updated and expanded in the years to come.
