The Exile's Journey: From Refuge to Settlement

Led by anthropologists and sociologists, this exploratory research followed exiles to observe, understand, and decipher the network of services, support relationships, protective ties, and available spaces that lead to lasting settlements. What does settling permanently mean to them? How do they envision their "refugee career"? To answer these questions concretely and pragmatically, the team identifies all the factors (status, social protection, resources, actual practices) that constitute settlement and then analyzes the turning points in their journeys, their use of institutional support networks, and informal solidarity.
