Here is a presentation of the event:

" Some research in architecture, like other creative disciplines, is now moving beyond the strictly theoretical framework to become rooted in the dynamics specific to the project.

At the crossroads of scientific methods and design practices, this study day explores the conditions that allow for the articulation of knowledge production and architectural development. It examines the capacity of design—understood as an open, situated, and reflective process—to constitute a genuine field of investigation, where describing, understanding, and transforming reality participate in the same dynamic of knowledge creation.

The different sessions will allow us to examine the links between project and research, considering the active role of the designer in the production of knowledge.

Several questions will structure the discussions: how to produce knowledge that is both reproducible and falsifiable? What stances and methods should we adopt as observer-researchers to examine the phenomena at work in the project? How can pivotal moments or "creative leaps" renew our understanding of design processes?

This day aims to examine the relevance of architectural research that fully integrates design as a mode of knowledge, in a transdisciplinary approach.
