In societies that champion emancipatory values, bodily practices can no longer be solely linked to respecting social norms within the continuity of the civilizing process, nor to mastering values assigned for the purposes of productivity and sociocultural integration. What, then, does it mean to design practices that integrate digital technology to serve bodily emancipation in the 21st century?
